What is the deal with vampires? Actually, what is the deal with people who are all about vampires? I guess as a symbol of sensitivity and evil, they're a perfect mix. Also the 'up all night thing', or maybe its the neck-bitting / blood-sucking thang. Bands like Atreyu, current blockbuster movies like Twilight and the Anne Rice vampire movies of the 90's are all to thank for keeping the flame burning for the vampire culture which has been one of the longest running horror fascinations of our species. And what better soundtrack than Heavy Metal? Wouldn't it be funny if we found out that real vampires actually prefer country & western music to Metal? If you think back to before Metal, when the soundtrack for vampires was Wagner''s "Ride of the Valkries" you'll notice that even the classical soundtrack for vampires was pretty Metal for the day. Anyway, fangs for all the memories (sorry, had to do it).

As you should know by now, Twitter is all the rage. Despite the fact that most people don't have any idea what to do with it, some people are having a great time. Mower are back in Sweet Home San Diego, for a little rest, if that's what you want to call it. Next week they'll be joining Skinlab as they begin their return tour, appropriately titled "Sons of a Sik World" Tour. The first show, which won't be with Mower, will be in San Diego at Brick by Brick on Tuesday Sept. 22. If you're in the San Diego area, don't miss this show.
