Vulgar Display of Power is quite possibly one of the most iconic metal album covers of all-time. The art is a simple snapshot of a guy getting punched in the face, which is the only way to describe the sonic beat down that this album gives its listener. This undeniably classic album produced some of the biggest Heavy Metal anthems of all-time such as "Mouth of War", "A New Level", "Fucking Hostile" and the most covered song in Metal, "Walk". If a band wants to be accepted by a Heavy Metal audience, all they have to do is play "Walk" and its like a campfire sing-along moshpit style. Seriously, this album wrote the book on what a metal album should sound like and the cover art is a picture worth only one word, BRUTAL. Cowboys From Hell told the world that Pantera had arrived, but Vulgar Display of Power made it clear that Pantera wouldn't wait around to be appreciated. Mower and Skinlab set off on the "Sons of a Sik World" tour this week. In Flames just hit the states for a few weeks of shows after rolling around Canada for a bit. Dirge Within are also covering the States right now on their first round in the next few months. Kittie just got all dolled up and are starting a US tour this week.
